Setting a Date with Fate

So I’m getting married. While my bride-to-be lends her great talents to making a homemade bouquet, flowers and cake topper, I put my efforts into the most important part of the pre-wedding preparation: a website!

Nick and Sara Get Married represents my first foray into full-blown HTML5. For you nontechies, HTML5 represents the next generation of coding markup for web pages. The site also was a tiny experiment design-wise — I incorporated pink. My future wife loves the color and is integrating it into much of our wedding paraphernalia, thus an excuse to use it in the design. (Confession: I enjoy using the color.)

WordPress powers our wed site, including extensive use of custom post type, like the movie quotes on the home page and “things to do” section.
